Rancho Acazar of Louisiana, LLC was founded in 2002 and owned by John R. Thibodeaux. Mr. Thibodeaux and eight other gentlemen operated a Texas non-profit private hunting lodge called Rancho Acazar of Texas.
The lodge was primarily for dove hunting in Old Mexico approximately 80 miles south of McAllen, Texas. They entertained 350-400 guests during the 2 ½ month long season. Mr. Thibodeaux was active in all phases of this operation for a period in excess of 25 years and served as a director on its board of directors. The Mexican operation was shut down due to the extreme dangers posed by warring drug cartels.
After 3 years of searching for a replacement for Mexico, Mr. Thibodeaux was fortunate to find Managua, Nicaragua.
